How to care for synthetic dreadlocks? CLEANING - the dreadlocks are tightly crocheted, so you don't have to worry about them getting tangled after bathing. The frequency of washing depends on your preferences. While washing, I recommend applying pressure to the dreadlocks in the same way as you press a sponge. This way you will get a lot of foam and not loosen the temporary fastening. If you've used the dreadlocks to extend your natural dreadlocks, wash your head just as you would before.   DRYING - synthetic dreadlocks dry very quickly and do not absorb water, so you won't feel that dreadlocks are heavy. After bathing, wait for excess water to drain off and shake the rest of the water by shaking the dreadlocks. You can speed up drying with a gentle stream of air from the dryer. Use the dryer gently and do not overheat the synthetic dreadlocks.   COLORING - We do not recommend dyeing your hair when temporary dreadlocks are installed. The paint may not be completely washed out and will irritate the scalp. It's best to plan your hair dye before putting on your dreadlocks or when you are interlacing your dreadlocks. If your natural dreadlocks are extended with synthetic dreadlocks, remember that synthetic hair is not susceptible to dyeing. Synthetic dreads cannot be colored.   BATHING IN THE SEA - remember to rinse out dreadlocks after swimming in salt water. The dreadlocks are strong and will withstand many baths.   AFTER WHAT TIME YOU SHOULD INTERLACE THE TEMPORARY DREADLOCKS - each of us has hair growing at a different rate, so the question of interlacing dreadlocks is individual. I believe that after a month of wearing temporary dreadlocks, you should consider interlacing them. When removing temporary dreadlocks, you can make this process easier by using a conditioner. Apply the conditioner to the place where the braid entwines the synthetic dread. The conditioner will make detangling easier, and the detaching process will be gentler and more pleasant for your hair.   STORAGE - if you have several sets or want to take a break from synthetic dreadlocks, make sure you store them right. I recommend threading the dreadlocks onto a simple aluminum / wooden rod using loops. Dreadlocks, will hang freely on the rod. Protect them from dust by hanging them, e.g. in a wardrobe.   REFRESHING DREADLOCKS - If you feel the need to reattach your dreadlocks after a longer time, you can easily refresh them before. Start by threading your dreadlocks onto a simple aluminum / wood rod. Secure the dreadlocks so they do not fall off the rod. Then heat the water in the kettle and bring it to the boil. Wear rubber gloves to avoid burns. Over the bathtub or other safe place with a drain, evenly pour boiling water over the dreadlocks threaded on the rod. Watch out for the hot steam! Wait for the dreadlocks to drip slightly, and then put them in an airy place until dry. After such treatment, your dreadlocks will be refreshed and ready to be put on again.
